Prior to my life in medicine, I was a programmer and designer. My favorite language was PHP. Now it’s R. I studied molecular biology and applications of computing at Princeton (A.B.), epidemiology and biostatistics at Johns Hopkins (M.P.H.), and medicine at Vanderbilt (M.D.), and completed my internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt.
